About me and my art 

My love of nature and animals is as strong as my love of creating art. I have always felt a strong connection with the natural world and began my artistic journey by painting beautiful landscapes that I felt inspired by. I started my artistic career by painting commissioned landscapes with my focus being on understanding the importance and emotional connection my clients had to that particular place, and collaborating with them to turn that connection in to a treasured piece of art.

I have since progressed to creating pet and wildlife art, primarily using pastel pencils. I have been surrounded by animals for 35 years, and I have felt a deep love for all of them. I understand the truly unique and special bond people have with the animals they treasure, it is like no other, and I wanted to find a way to capture this for my clients, in detailed and vibrant artwork that captures their pet’s individual personality and soul. Equally, when creating a piece of wildlife art, I want to capture the spirit of the animal I am drawing, for example the majesty of the jaguar or the intelligence you can see in a bear’s eyes.

When I am not creating art, you will find me relaxing with my much adored dogs, whether that's exploring the countryside with them,  or taking part in mantrailing, agility or trick training.  And of course that includes teaching them to paint!
